Reversible Stair Risers Ideal DIY Project

Now you can add style to any stairway with our new Reversible Risers. Available in two decorative styles, each easy-to-apply riser comes primed and ready for installation.

Two options are available in the Reversible Risers: a shiplap / beaded planking version and an oak / primed version. The primed sides of either version can easily be painted, and the oak version can be finished to match existing décor.

“Each panel gives homeowners two decorative options to enhance a stairway,” says Keith Early, vice president of marketing and new product development at Ornamental Mouldings & Millwork. “The deep grooves in the shiplap and wainscot beaded plank version are ideal for country-style and beach homes. For more formal settings, the oak and primed risers provide unlimited ways to personalize a staircase through staining or painting.”

Stepping Up Creativity

Each Reversible Riser is 42-inches long by 7-1/2 inch high. The risers are 3/8-inches in depth. “The risers can be cut-to-sized and glued on over existing risers to give a stairway a new look,” says Early. “Or, they can be used with new treads. This is an extremely easy, yet effective, way to add a unique design element to a stairway.

“Just imagine painting each stair riser in different shades of a color and having them lead up to a second floor. Or, matching the color of the hand rail system with a unique stain on the stair risers. Creativity abounds for homeowners who embrace this easy and fun DIY project.”
